I love the Rudy 4345. For many years I had a Rudy 5/4 CC. I decided that tuba was not ideally suited to the type of playing I was doing and I couldn;t afford to keep it and buy another tuba. I was thrilled to find that the 4345 provided the versatility that I needed and managed to maintain that special Rudy sound in spite of the completely different design of the piston tuba.
The pitch is very good, the tone is amazing, warm, colorful and the response is fro the most part great although as one poster mentioned the low register can be a bit on the tight side.
All in all, a fantastic all-around tuba with a sound that you'll fall in love with.
