Over the summer i purchased a Besson compensating tuba from a sort-of recdneck music store. This purchase also affected my financial needs when i was purchasing the gregson tuba concerto. It was laying in the corner and when i walked in you can imagine the shock of finding a tuba in a place like this. Well i checked the serial numbers and the date is 1979. If anyone has any opinions on this tubas worth i would really like to know. The lacquer is more that 50% worn but there is only one major dent in the bottom bow area. I also would like to know where i can find out more on this tuba. The case it was in was marked 108 div. Band. I believe it may be an old army horn but i am not sure. thanks

Matt
