I believe that's exactly why a conical tube produces a compressed harmonic series as compared to a straight closed-end tube. It's only the odd-numbereed harmonics, it just sounds like a normal harmonic series if the mouthpiece and bell are correct. (I'm sure you know that, I'm just mentioning it for anybody who doesn't.)
