1. I have seen *tuba stands* into which the "knob" inserts. Tripod-type affairs with a small cup-shaped "knob-receiver", placed in front of one's chair.
2. I have also seen *marching straps* which attach to the "knob". The instrument is then carried upright (in the not playing position). The strap is essentially a loop, attached only at the knob-point.
[I always preferred a strap from the two strap-rings myself (instrument carried bell forward in the non-playing position), even when I had "knob tubas" (B&H Imperial EEb-s, and others)]
