I had to make a flight to paris a few years ago. I took the CC that my school let me use. First Things First!! Insure the horn to the hilt! You might try Clarion in New york. I just had a regular wood hardcase. What I did was suff the case with two inch foam that you can get at any fabric retailer. The damage happens when the horn can move inside the case so you want to make as tight a fit as possible. I don't know if this is possible with a yamaha case, they're pretty thin from what I've seen. I also stuffed a rolled up blanket inside the bell to keep the shape just incase. To protect from opening in mid-load use heavy tape like gaffers tape and cover all the seams of the case and I used two luggage straps and taped them shut. My trip turned okay. Good Luck.

P.S. Someone once told me that the ideal flight case should have spikes all around it and be ticking!
