I sold a used Miraphone 186-4U BBb WITH a hard case for about $2600 last summer. I offered it on this bbs, but the middle school behind my house bought it before I could respond to e-mails. I had taken virtually ALL of the dents out of it, and several people on this bbs "flamed" me for selling it for too high a price.

(My price was fair, IMO, with the "case" and the "no dents", but I tend to think $2600 a bit high for "beat up - no case".) I think you can get a Miraphone "S" series, which has no real differences - IMO - with the "pro" series, for about $4100 or so NEW with hard case.

The big argument FOR Miraphone is that it is a very well-constructed 4/4 instrument with a very good overtone series and excellent resale value, without being astronomically priced.

That middle school behind my house HAS one of those 4-piston "4/4" Jupiters, too, by the way. I play-tested it...Steer clear.
