Okay, so press the first valve down on your CC; what do you have? A BBb tuba. Nowadays, when manufacturers take the same bell and large branches and the same valveset and produce both BBb or CC tubas with them, the "better low register" and "more defined sound" argments are pretty hard to take serioiusly. There are a lot of great BBb tubas around that will loosen the fillings in your teeth with their low register...
