I love BBb tubas. I never plan on joining an orchestra, unless it's a small local one, and who would care then? I play because i love playing. And i love playing the BBb tuba. That settles it for me.
To summarize all the points made: go to a store with a lot of tubas to try and try them all, if you need to. Buy the one you like the best.
