I currently play a 20 year old 601 BBflat Cerveny Kaiser tuba. I have been looking at what 5 valve BBflats are avaliable or if I should switch to CC. I haven't made up my mind yet.

BBflat 5 valve or more that I have seen info on so far seem to be:

Miraphone 189 5valve rotary. bell 18.5" bore .807". I think a miss labeled picture is in the Brasswind catalog. It says that it is 4 valve but they can't count. The miraphone web site has no pictures, just limited specs.

VMI 3302 4 piston + 1 rotary, bell 19" , bore .748" . Check Brasswind catalog.

Meinl Weston 198 Walter Hilgers model. 5th valve in 4th valve slide. bell 18.1", bore .846". Check the Meinl Weston web site.

Cerveny:
Model 681 avaliable in either 4, 5 or 6 valve. bore .787" , bell 15.75" except 6 valve has 17.7" bell.
Model 682 5 valve bell , 15.75" , bore .787" , Anniversary Edition
Model 683 4 or 5 valve , 14.17" bell , .787" bore

Willson 3100L 5 Valve , 4 piston + 1 rotary, .800 / .830" bore , 19.75" bell

I don't know if any others exist, and haven't seen or played any of these but hope to try some before I decide what to get.

Bruce
