Mark, as an alumnus of the Ringling Bros, Barnum and Bailey Circus World Band(now, sadly, defunct). I feel your pain. I think the Blue and Red units went over to electric bass a while back. No more face mashing for the local tuba players whenever the train pulled into town. It truly was a great learning experience, especially since I started at the tender age of 19. Glad you have the memories, there is not a day that goes by without thinking of the tempos of marches. Quality Plus by Fred Jewell at the whole note at 96. Yikes!!!!
