T, As far as I know the term Kaiser refers to any large bore 4 rotary valve tuba. I own a Cervevy CC from 1903. It has a huge bore size, .880 I think. The term may have originated in the 1880's when an instrument maker, maybe Cerveny, advertised that their prduct was worthy of the Kaiser, the leader of what is now Germany. The term Piggy ,as far as I know, is nickname for Cervenys open-wrap CC tuba. In this confguration the bell ends up closer to the bottom bow, giving the horn a squat appearance.
