When I heard the Pocket Brass in Sydney in July the sousaphone player was MATT PERRINE.
He is on the Pocket Brass recordings, I believe, and also on some of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band recordings, and other New Orleans recordings (sorry for not being more specific, with titles and publishing companies.)

I heard Matt Perrine on a track where he multi-tracked several parts (on sousa), which was on a friends compilation CD, a disc predominantly featuring New Orleans pianists.

The Pocket Brass drummer that night was Bobby Previte. I forget the trumpet player's name.

It was a great concert, with the diversity of styles compassed simply extreme. They warmed to the packed house even further by doffing their horn-mikes, etc., leaving the stage and roving around the whole room playing N.O. funk.
