I just got two Mirafone F tubas for which I am trying to find homes. I'll guess they are mid-1970's vintage. They both play pretty well and come with the small Mirafone hard case, one has wheels. The low ranges (low d-b) are a bit squirrely like all these small f's are, but they both play pretty well. Both have a nice sweet sound, perfect for solos and SOME delicate orchestral solos. They don't really compare to the big F's currently in vogue. If you want a nice sounding, small f tuba at a pretty reasonable price, this might be the F tuba for you.
