I think I will say what I think (hope) has been tacitly (a word?) implied by all of these responses: try both and see which one gives you the sound that you want to here. This reminds me of a "Should I use an F for piece X on my audition or do they want to hear a CC?" with the responses being "whatever you sound best on." Now I realize that an F sounds difference from a CC, but the F makes the sound you're looking for, use it by all means!
