You could probably settle it once and for all by downloading the copy off Napster (assuming it exists--I haven't seen it), and playing it for Jay along with a good original. If the quality sucks as Richard suggests is likely, Jay's fears will be allayed.

Another way to calm his fears is to get Richard, Barry, yourself, and those of us on this list (and TubaEuph, and readers of the TUBA Journal, brass journals, International Musician, and so on) to pre-order copies. I would, in a flash, and probably enough to give as gifts to a number of friends. That way, Jay would know for sure how many he's guaranteed of selling, and the profits from those can pay for a modest stock of speculative copies.

If he is afraid of losing money, then attack those fears specifically rather than concentrating on the unquantifiable fears of something like Napster.
