the new BBb-Tuba 195 "Fafner" is a completely new design made for the professional orchestra. You will find some more info and a real video (including audio) of Heiko Triebener playing it in our news section - see the link below.

As you can't see too many details on the video on that page I have posted another video (422kB) of the Tuba alone (no sound). Sorry this prototype is still raw...

As for size; we consider this to be a 5/4 size; bell diameter: 48cm, vertical pull tuning slide, 21.5mm bore, Height 105cm.

Currently, we are making two more prototypes (exactly as the first one) and hopefully have the first "real" one at Frankfurt Music Fair in March. Sorry - I won't have it at the Midwest.
