I understand that Yamaha improved the electronics in their more recent version, but I am not sure how long ago they did this. They currently only sell one version of the electronics. You can buy it with the electronics bundled with a mute, or you can buy each of the pieces separately. The prices I have seen are about $250 for the euphonium bundle, $350 for the tuba bundle, or $100 for the euphonium mute only and $230 for the tuba mute.
