But that horn has no relationship to the horn that was called a "baritone" in America for decades, just as the word tuba didn't enter my own lexicon until high school. The sousaphone I played at my school was a bass horn, just like the Besson BBb bass horn I played in the all-city band. A "tuba" was a Miraphone.
