Not to be rude at all, but high school tubists that can play things like Gregson and the Vaughan Williams tuba concertos, Stravinsky, and Mussorgsky from "Pictures" are few and far between. Yes, they exist, but they are not as plentiful as some people seem to think. Yes, it is common to use these pieces as the standard or benchmark, but those kinds of players in high school tend to be the exception.
