Oval Baritons

I'm a bass trombone player looking for something different. I now own a Yamaha 321 euphonium, which has the lacquer removed, and a large receiver installed. It's about 20 years old and just plain worn out. I use a fairly large mouthpiece on it, (a Doug Elliott with a Schilke 59 rim, but the depth of a 1 1/2 G). I do have a medium shank for it also.

Question is, had anyone out there had any experience with oval baritons? How well do they play in tune? How is their intonation? What other brands are there? I know of Cerveny, Miraphone and Kuhnl & Hoyer. It's either one of these, or a compensator.

Thanks ahead of time, Kenny Jay
