Okay, this is for, well, e-flat and F doublers... Do you play both horns on a consistant basis, and are there advantages to this? (Other than the obvious of course.) I currently am playing an E-flat as my solo horn, but e v e n t u a l l y want to learn F as well. (Buying one for Christmas to extend my collection.) I have air problems on my e-flat, (can't use enough), and I know that this will be a problem on both horns. I'm not looking for an easier way out, I am just seeking opinions on this. I probably won't do much other than learn my fingerings until my primary horn is under control, but like I said, I'm just seeking any advice that's out there... anyone have experience with one being more advantageous than the other?
I play in brass bands, hence the reason I chose E-flat to begin with, in case anyone's wondering... I also am guilty of transposition while playing rather than being overly familiar with my fingerings... (I know this is bad...)
Thanks for any help!
