I don't own a York Master, but I have several large Martins with very similar characteristics to the York. As far as intonation goes, I have found the Wick 1-L to be the best, (over the Schilke-Helleberg II, Laskey 30H, and several others). I found that the 1-L worked much better than the smaller shanked Wick 1, which also played sharp above the F on my horns. The Schilke-Helleberg II is quite good, but I prefer the Laskey 30-H. I would describe the Laskey sound as more compact than the Wick. Mine sticks out of the receiver a bit far but it doesn't throw the horn out of wack. The 30-H just feels like a more "precise" Shilke-Helleberg II, (it's hard to put these things into words!). Also, definitely give a Curry mouthpiece like the 128D a try, if you can. I find the tone to be amazingly rich and resonant with the Curry.
