Good Day to all...

I was hoping I could probe some opinion regarding a lot of the recent mouthpiece threads...

what does everyone think about changing mouthpieces to suit pieces/range etc.

Personally...I play on a larger mouthpiece and I find it much more comfortable up high and all around than the conn helleberg that I have and never really use. But that's just me....
is it that one theoretically should be able to play throughout their entire range regardless of what their face is stuck to? Could changing mouthpieces be considered a viable means to improve high range or is it more of a quick fix? what about other resons for swithing mouthpieces....tone color for example....would anyone ever use two different moutpieces in a piece (i.e. between movements?)

well.....thought I'd throw a few ideas out and see what happens. I plan on sticking with the mouthpiece I have now unless I find another gem someday.

Happy Holidays,

Neil M.
