If anything, it was probably just relieving your monitor of static. Use the degauss function on your monitor, you'll probably see the same sort of effect, just multiplied several times. In short, it's probably nothing you should worry about, but if it really bothers you, get a TFT-UXGA flat screen! (or a laptop). If soundwaves from our instruments were any threat to our computer monitors, I doubt Vivace/SmartMusic would sell as well as it does right now.
