If you do not need the auto harmonization capabilities, or will not scan preprinted music into your score... go for 2000. I do a LOT of copy work and use Finale exclusively. All the composers and publishers I work for love the finished product. Of course, the one composer who now does his own engraving with Sibelius did not like anything I did.
