Donald Stauffer's book, A Treatise on the Tuba contains a photograph of a York full double in F and BBb. It used piston valves and front action, with two rotary switch valves ganged together. The downstream switch valve is enormous, and the pistons are about a foot long. The text did not reveal the age of the instrument. The instrument was owned (and probably still is) by Vince Simmonetti of the Tuba Exchange. It looked... heavy.
