This question might be the best represented one in the archives, which are open to everybody. Even to the KGB.

Anyone can with talent, hard work, and an overall dedication make a good BBb tuba sound like a BBb tuba.

Anyone can with talent, hard work, and an overall dedication make a good CC tuba sound like a CC tuba.

Which one you are going to choose will depend on the tradition you come out of and on which career you plan for yourself.

Learning new fingerings will be a very small problem, if your general foundation musically and brasswise has brought you to a level, from where you can make qualified decisions.

If you worry about fingering problems, you either lack in general foundation, in talent, in work capacity, and/or in dedication.

These lines can sound cold and harsh, but actually they are a manual in how to solve the problem yourself (hopefully together with a a good pro teacher).

You might start with a booster for your intellect: make an appropriate archive search through the function on top of the main board.

One more hint:

If you want a wide selection palette including smaller and cheaper tubas, then go for BBb.

If you want a relatively wide selection palette of expensive and pro level tubas, then go for CC.
