As I stated further down on your other post, Ian, I prefer the uniball linkage available from Meinl Weston. They are made from metal, not plastic.
I get to repair, on a rather regular basis, the uniball linkages from Yamaha and Mirafone. They are plastic and break with some degree of regularity. The linkages from Allied Supply (Meinl Weston supplied) at wholesale only cost $.90 each. Pretty cheap for a well made item. The rest is doable if you are at all mechanically inclined, or take it to a repair shop in your area.
