I, too, found the ONLY thing I wasn't really happy with my Miraphone 188 was it was really weird to hold. It kept either slipping or turning or hurting (me). I broke down and got a little stand for about $60 also and it works great. If you use it (the one I got at least) on carpet though, it tends to wobble a little (as expected), but it's not really a biggy. Great investment though ^_^
