I digress. I've worked a little on 34 with David Zerkel and I played them "as played" at the bottom. He didn't say anything about them specifically. But if you play the notes as grace notes as opposed to whats at the bottom, it sounds a bit out of place. I would suggest just playing it as the footnote indicates. Best of luck to you!
