I met Mr. Plog a few years ago and really love his '3 Minis' so I decided to purchase his concerto. Good Lord. It is extremely difficult. The piece was written for Markus Theinert, and from my understanding, he is the tuba professor at the conservatory where Mr. Plog teaches. The piece is written for F tuba and has a relativly high tessatura. It has a lot of mixed meter too. Oh, and if you decide to perform this piece, find an amazing pianist; the accompaniment is rediculous hard. If you want to know anything else, feel free to email me. Good luck!
