Well i suppose it's the way you look at it. Being an aspiring professional tubist at college, yes i hear and see some of the exact things you're talking about. Maybe it's just the music educator in me, but isn't it nice to see and hear so many people making music together? Isn't THAT what it's all about? Do you go to your son or daughters elementary band concerts and walk out pissed off and upset? no, you're proud, and delighted to see that they are making music. You may chalk up the unpolished sounds to the kids just not knowing the difference....why don't you make an effort to improve them? give them a quick 2 minute lesson...it couldn't hurt. After all, it is the christmas season and "tis better to give than recieve"
