Yes, the traffic is awful, and it's definitely too damn cold for most, but what a wonderful city! Trust me, I bitch about it more than anyone, but I do love this place. You obviously didn't get out much when you visited. Try to visit in the summer or fall. The fall here is amazing. Walden Pond in Concord is truly heavenly in late September.
