The Ewazen is listener friendly and isn't too difficult. There are a few licks here and there, but I don't think you'll have a problem with that.
The James Woodward concerto is good too. I think that you might find a recording of Velvet Brown playing it somewhere. It isn't too difficult, but sounds great.
