Greetings All,

Just a word about TUBACHRISTMAS this past Saturday in Sherman, TX. I must say it was one of the most enjoyable TUBACHRISTMAS' in which I have ever played. The group was just about the right size(22 players)with even distribution throughout. It was a good mix of oldsters and youngsters. David Spies did an excellent job of conducting, and tempos were pretty darn good. That is my biggest gripe about most of these events. No matter how hard one tries to conduct or play appropriate tempos, they always seem to degrade to a mezzo-slow tempo that accomodates the non-practicing type players in the group. Thus was not the case this Saturday! Everyone had the attitude of playing with good tones and attempting to put them in the right place. Congrats to those who participated and hope to see you in the Dallas TC.

Regards,

Kevin Miller
