What if Tubas had been readily availible to Beethoven and others?
I know that another great composer recorded one of Beethovens
symphonies with a tuba added. For the life of me I can't remember
wich composer or symphony right now. Anyway,in what regard
would the tuba be held today? I hate it that some think that the
tuba is where you send the less musicaly gifted pupil. Is anyone
willing to theorize in which direction some of the worlds greatest
pieces would have traveled with the availability of a tuba and
that of the musicians that play them?
Just thinking out loud I guess.
