A tenor tuba is a tenor tuba. It looks like a tuba (four rotary valves, identical except for scale to any rotary tuba), it sounds like a (small) tuba. It's the tuba Pokorny used for the Bydlo on his excerpts CD. It just happens to be pitched like a euphonium (which is also a tenor tuba, but the tenor tuba in question is definitely not a euphonium). So "Bb tuba" doesn't quite cut it for organologists, even we pedantic amateurs. We could call it "tenor tuba" but then someone is bound to be confused by that, too.
