Hey, I play a PT-88 on a Mirafone 186 and I really like the way it peels paint. Soft playing has always been easy for me, and I really haven't found anything which makes forte sound quite as good as the PT-88 to my ears. Many people really seem not to like any edge in the lower end, but I kind of like a little growl below the staff. I do, however, use a Jacobs Hellburg for a focused tone and for work with smaller ensembles.
