with the Carla Bley Big Band. The guy played stupid loud ALL THE TIME. And it was some of the most soulful playing I have ever heard. Check out a cut called "The Lord is listenin' to ya', Hallelujah"(I think that is right). Great player who played from the HEART!!!!
