I had the pleasure (and it WAS a pleasure) of playing the prototype of the CC 1291 Miraphone in Chicago, as well as having heard some top players go at it, and it is a superb instrument. I have never played a horn with that strong (and easy) a low register (and this is from a Yorkbrunner owner). This is going to be one awesome instrument when it is finished and it will definitely be worth waiting for. If you are looking for a great soinding instrument with a terrific low register, hold off until you get a chance to play this.
