Hi. Sorry hear about your accident and hope that there are no long term problems for you. I'd like to recommend the Escape. It uni-body so it drives like a car - very nimble with the 24 valve 6 cylinder. I can fit my hard case 4/4 behind the back seat. With the rear seat folded down it's cavernous! The mileage ain't bad either, averaging 23- 24 mpg. A very comfortable car with lots of included options. My wife is often trying to steal it from me.......
