my suggestion, contact Baltimore Brass and discuss your needs with the proprietor, David Fedderly. He has in stock several copies of the Wril BBflat tuba, while I haven't played one of these they are touted as nice little piston-valve tubas, clones of the Yamaha 621 already mentioned, plus Baltimore Brass has a GREAT price on them and it sounds like the perfect-sized tuba for where you're at right now!
