If it is restorable at all, buy it. The King Liberty Models are collectible now, as they were well made, and made before WWII. According to the serial number you gave, this one was made in late 1935 or 1936. The mouthpiece also has some value, as the "Mt. Vernon" dates the mouthpiece, too. Vincent Bach moved his operation from the Bronx to Mt. Vernon in the 1950's, then Selmer bought him out and moved the operation to Elkhart, IN in about 1965, so that mouthpiece is from the latter '50's or first half of the 1960's.
