Thank You all, and especially Mssrs. Denney & Guerrero for your articulate, and well thought out responses! I am still of the opinion that the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. I just have always wondered why a friend would go off to college and start playing CC like it was the equivilent of passing puberty. As someone who is never asked to play in anything resembling an orchestra I will sit comfortably in the BBb section.
