is to quote the bore in terms of the outside of the slide tubes. So that 0.870" bore is probably more like 0.820" or so. One of these days, maybe Willson (and DEG) will figure that this method of quoting bores is a little dishonest and clean up their act.
Sort of like quoting the bore of a rifle by measuring the outside of the barrel.
