That inexpensive little mike will record tuba well?? I've always had good luck recording strings with less expensive mikes, but brass has been another story. It always sounds kind of flat (not in pitch, in tone quality.) The "usual" recommended mike for minidisk recording is about $400, the AT-800 or whatever it is, and I am not completely happy with that one, either. It does not sound professional, while strings recorded with it, do. I was figuring I'd have to go to a $1200 mike to get the sound I'm after in a recording.
