Having paid the money and gone through the Trademark process I happen to be a little more informed than the average Joe 6pack on this one. 8-)
Trademarks are very specific. It may be a word trademark or it may be a design trademark or both.
There is a handy website to look these things up!
Click the link and look on the left side for "Trademarks" and click "Search"
