The bell and bows of the CC version appear to be quite similar to the 191 (and 1291) BBb horns, but it has been a year since I played the prototype and my "oldtimers disease" makes the memories of that period a bit dull. HOWEVER - in two weeks, at the Midwest Clinics, there will be TWO of the CC horns along with the 1291 4 valve and 1291 5 valve BBb models and I will lay them side-by-side and get some photos to post so we can all see the differences.

To totally agree with Tony - when the time comes for me to have a BBb (which as transposing on my Yorkbrunner in brass band becomes harder, may be soon) it will be the 1291 5 valve BBb - it is flat out the most FUN horn to play that I have ever handled. And what a beautiful sound! And great valves! And ergonomical fit to the player! And fit and finish! And... And... And.................where am I?
