The sole importer of this horn is very effective in his selling techniques.

If you are indeed within the Raleigh-Durham area, a trip to Baltimore to get some face time might be a good idea for a better decision.

I would think that a person sold on the St. Pete, if they have indeed played one and like the horn for what it is, might also like a Cerveny piggy. Ironically the piggy is of about the same dimensions and playing characteristics and even close to the same price. Cerveny's are known to be dent prone, however, the valve are normally very good and the horn is very serviceable. Normally the solder joints are pretty clean and the craftsmanship is on par with other "professional" tubas on the market.

I recommend doing some more reasearch with some of the other retailers listed on this site and find out what they also have to offer.
