I'm a bass doubler. I actually played bass guitar first(in 6th grade). I switched from trumpet to tuba in my sophmore year of high school, and my senior year I learned up-right bass. I love the low instruments. I'm currently in my first year at Montclair State U. in New Jersey majoring in music education and I've been playing tuba so much, I haven't really had much time to play bass guitar. I also don't have access to an upright anymore, so I'm saving up alot of money lately to get a used one. I think I'll go play right now actually, and get of this damn computer.
